Siri Help: log putts by voice
Your hands are on the putter and your phone is in your pocket. Say it through your AirPods and Lagr logs the putt. Siri tells you what was recorded, so you know it's right without looking.
Every phrase says “Lagr”
Apple requires an app's name in each Siri phrase, so “Hey Siri, log a miss” won't reach Lagr. “Hey Siri, log a miss in Lagr” will. Nothing needs setting up: the phrases work as soon as Lagr is installed.
The commands

The logging phrases follow your Log Tool Default. On Course Green, “Lagr missed it” logs the next putt of the ball you're following, and Siri tells you where your next putt is from — “Putt 2 from 4 feet.”
Siri answers with what it logged and your running count — “Holed from 20 feet. That's 4 putts.” If a putt starts a new session, Siri says that first. While a challenge is running, log on the challenge screen so every ball counts toward its station.
Place where a miss finished Premium
Telling Lagr how far a miss finished is free. With Premium you can also say where it finished, so your Speed and Line are measured and the ball lands on your leave map. There are three ways to say it. Try one:

Three ways to say it
- Long or short, then left or right — the exact spot
- “3 feet 6 inches long, 6 feet left.” Either half can come first, and either can be left out for a ball straight along a line: “4 feet long”.
- About — the quick way
- “Long left, about 3 feet.” The ball goes 3 feet out on the diagonal halfway between long and left. Use one word for straight along a line: “short, about 2 feet”.
- Distance and angle
- “4 feet, 30 degrees short left.” Name long or short, then left or right, and an angle from 1 to 89 degrees.
Reading an angle
An angle is measured from the long or short line you name, turning toward the side you name. It never passes 90 degrees, so the same number always means the same tilt. With long at the top of the green:
A ball straight long, straight short or straight to one side has no angle to give. Say it as a distance instead — “4 feet long”, “3 feet right”. Siri won't take 0 or 90 degrees.
How Lagr rounds what you say
Every distance you say is rounded to your accuracy setting, the same steps the buttons on screen move in. Inches and centimetres are optional.

When Siri can't log it
Siri says “I'm unable to log that value, try again” and asks again. Nothing is logged. That happens when:
- the distance is 0, or rounds to 0 at your accuracy setting (a putt that finished 0 feet away went in);
- the ball finished further away than your Longest distance setting;
- an angle is 0, 90 or more.
Premium by voice
Placing the ball, Course Green and Practice Green, and every challenge beyond the free three are part of Lagr Premium. If you ask Siri for one of them without Premium, Siri offers to show you the plans. Buying happens on your phone's screen, where you confirm it.
