Privacy policy
Lagr's core putting-practice features work entirely on your device and never send anything anywhere. There are no ads, no analytics SDK, no third-party data sharing, and no tracking. Two features are optional and you never have to use them: you can create an account (Sign in with Apple) and you can ask us to send you product and update emails. The app is fully functional without either — no account is required to log putts or see your stats. If you do create an account, the only thing stored off your device is the account itself (an identifier and, if you choose, your email); your putting data still stays local. Lagr also reads your location while you calibrate your stride, and that never leaves the device either.
What Lagr stores, and where
Your putting sessions — the distance you started each putt from, whether it went in, where it finished if it didn't, and when — are stored in a local database on your device. This data never leaves your device automatically, is not synced to iCloud or uploaded to any server we control (if your device is backed up to iCloud, app data is included in that backup like any other app’s — that backup is yours, and Lagr cannot read it), and is only ever transmitted between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch over Apple's on-device WatchConnectivity framework — never over the internet, never to a third party. It's deleted when you delete a session or the app itself. Your putting data stays on your device even if you create an account — we do not upload it to our servers today. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first and we'll make the change clear before it ships.
Your account (optional)
You can use Lagr with no account at all. If you choose to create one, Lagr uses Sign in with Apple, and the account is stored on our behalf by Supabase, our hosting and database provider, on servers outside your device. Sign in with Apple gives Lagr a stable identifier for your account; you can choose to share your name and email or to use Apple's “Hide My Email” relay — that choice is yours, made in Apple's own sign-in screen. We store the account identifier and, if you provide it, your email address. We do not receive or store your Apple password. The account is used to identify you to Lagr — for example, to remember your email preferences — and is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Deleting your account: you can delete your account at any time from the lagrapp.com dashboard. Deleting it removes your account record and email address from our systems (see “How long we keep things” below for what may briefly persist in backups). Your on-device putting data is unaffected and remains under your control on your device.
Marketing emails (optional)
Lagr can send you first-party emails about the app — new features, updates, and occasional product news. This is opt-in: we only email you if you ask us to, and only from Lagr itself. We collect your email address only if you provide it for this purpose (during sign-in or on lagrapp.com) and turn the preference on. These emails come from Lagr / lagrapp.com (aSaaSin Ventures LLC); we do not sell or share your email with third parties, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn emails off at any time; unsubscribing stops marketing email and does not require deleting your account. We use a standard email delivery provider to send these messages on our behalf — it processes your address only to deliver Lagr's own email and for no other purpose. If you never opt in, we never collect your email for marketing and never email you.
Location and motion (stride calibration)
Lagr uses your location for exactly one thing: working out how long your stride is, so counted paces can be turned into feet. Location (GPS) is read only while you are actively calibrating, from Settings → Pace profile — you tap “Start walking”, walk a measured stretch, and tell the app how many paces you took. The positions are used to compute a single number, your feet per pace, and are not kept once that number is stored. There is no background location use, and location is never read while you are simply logging putts. On Apple Watch, if you use “Pace it”, the step counter counts your paces for you and only the count is used. Both stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to any third party, not to any analytics service.
How long we keep things
Your putting sessions live only on your device. We never receive them, so we keep them for exactly as long as you do — they're gone when you delete a session or delete the app. Your account and email (the only data we hold off your device) are kept until you remove them: we retain them while your account exists, and when you delete your account, we delete the account record and email address from our active systems. When you unsubscribe from emails, we stop sending them and stop using your address for marketing. Residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten in the ordinary course, and we may keep the minimum needed to honor an unsubscribe request or to meet a legal obligation.
What Lagr does not do
No advertising, and no ad-tracking SDKs. No App Tracking Transparency prompt, because Lagr does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the advertising identifier. No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs from a third party. No data is sold or shared with third parties for their own use. No persistent identity beyond the optional account described above — and even then, only what's needed to run that account. No use of Health data for advertising or marketing, and no Health data written to iCloud.
Children's privacy
Lagr is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what Lagr collects changes — for example, if a future version syncs your putting data to the cloud — this policy will be updated first, and the in-app version will reflect the same text.

Send feedback in the app's Settings opens that same form in Safari. The app's version number is carried in the link so a bug report says which build it came from; nothing is sent to us unless you fill the form in and submit it. Tapping the row and then closing Safari sends us nothing at all.
